In applying for membership, we agree to abide by BOMA Greater Minneapolis policies and to provide statistical information as requested by the Association office. Payment will be made upon approval of membership and receipt of a statement.

Professional Members are defined as those whose primary business is providing products or services which have a direct impact on the real estate industry, such as architects, appraisers, attorneys, professional engineers, leasing and marketing professionals, and other degree-holding professionals practicing individually or in a fi rm of that specialty.

Professional Members are limited to 18% of the total Association Membership.

A Professional Member’s goals must be consistent with those of BOMA Greater Minneapolis and adhere to standards of professionalism and integrity.

Professional Members should represent a diverse spectrum of businesses servicing the office building industry.

Professional Members shall strive to provide products or services that improve the quality and efficiency of the commercial real estate industry, shall undertake to work with and through BOMA Greater Minneapolis to accomplish these ends, and shall conduct their BOMA activities within the guidelines established by BOMA Greater Minneapolis.

Professional Members are eligible to vote and hold elective office and are encouraged to participate on certain committees.

Professional Memberships are maintained on a year-to-year basis, with renewal at the initiation and discretion of BOMA Greater Minneapolis.  BOMA Greater Minneapolis reserves the right to determine if any or all Professional BOMA Members shall be renewed on an annual basis.  Current membership shall not constitute an ongoing or future right to future membership.  Professionals not renewing their membership by the due date will be dropped from membership.

There may be some functions that will be for Regular Members only, which will be announced in advance of event registration.

Direct selling, soliciting of business, or distribution of sales materials at BOMA functions by Professional Members is prohibited.  Complaints of violation may be grounds for termination or non-renewal of membership privileges.

Use of the BOMA directory to build address lists for general marketing or solicitation purposes, either by mail or electronically, unless authorized by BOMA, is prohibited. These directories are for the express purpose of facilitating BOMA activities and member networking; however, mailing labels are available to members at a discounted price for a one-time direct mail marketing piece.

BOMA memberships are the property of the member company. If a Professional Member changes employment, a request must be made in writing and approved by the Board of Directors to transfer the membership to another individual with the same company or to the current member’s new company.
