Washington Avenue Reconstruction Project

Join us for a review of a joint county and city project to reconstruct Washington Avenue and reduce lanes of traffic. City of Minneapolis will be leading a project to reconstruct the signal system and intersection at Hennepin and 1st. This project will also include extending the sidewalk level separated bike lanes that were put in behind the new E-Line Stations north from the stations to the start of the bridge. The Minneapolis led project is also scheduled to be constructed in 2026. The Minneapolis led project will occur first followed by the county led repaving and restriping of the roadway.
